Mimak Services is recruiting on behalf of a well-established Toronto law firm specializing in high-quality legal services. We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk for a permanent, full-time position with our client.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position. You will manage real estate files from start to finish, working directly within the client's legal team and supporting a group of experienced lawyers across a range of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting title searches and reviewing corresponding documentation
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents including agreements, transfers, and closing packages
  • Preparing and managing all closing documents and disbursements
  • Communicating with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and opposing counsel
  • Managing multiple files simultaneously while meeting all deadlines
  • Assisting lawyers with research and document preparation as required
  • Maintaining accurate, organized file records in accordance with firm standards
  • Staying current with changes in Ontario real estate law and Land Registry procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate law in Ontario
  • ILCO membership or a Law Clerk diploma from an accredited Ontario institution required
  • Strong working knowledge of Ontario real estate transactions, title insurance, and closing procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software (Conveyancer, PCLaw, or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high-volume file load independently
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail under deadline pressure
