Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to attorneys by managing various administrative tasks, conducting legal research, and assisting in the preparation of legal documents. This role requires a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough legal research on various topics, including Civil Litigation, Family law, Criminal law, Probate and real estate.
Review and analyze legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
Draft legal correspondence, memos, and reports with attention to detail.
Maintain an organized filing system for all case-related documents.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases to gather information and provide updates.
Skills
Proficient in conducting comprehensive research, including legal research methodologies.
Strong document review skills with an eye for detail to identify discrepancies or issues.
Familiarity with various areas of law
Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents.
Ability to transcribe audio recordings accurately.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
