Overview
Henderson Franklin, a full-service law firm in beautiful Southwest Florida, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our practice group. This role on our Real Estate team will focus on high-value land acquisition and development transactions, with additional support provided on residential transactions as needed. Candidates must have at least three (3) years’ real estate experience, which should include the following:
- Negotiating and drafting a variety of real estate contracts including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and development agreements to ensure favorable terms and legal soundness
- Conduct thorough due diligence on properties, including title searches, environmental assessments, and zoning compliance checks
- Counsel clients on leases, property management contracts, and other agreements connected to the ownership and operation of commercial properties;
- Reviewing title commitments, recorded documents, and surveys, and generate title and survey objections; and
- Drafting closing, conveyancing, loan, and corporate resolution documents in connection with transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams on legal research involving statutory laws, procedural law knowledge, and case law to support ongoing projects
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of commercial and residential real estate transactions
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for comprehensive statutory and case law analysis
- Strong negotiation skills to secure advantageous terms during transactions and dispute resolutions
- Well-organized, efficient with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders with a responsive, service-oriented attitude, and display sound and practical business judgement.
- Candidates must be a member of the Florida Bar in good standing.

Pay: $125,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
