Real Estate Attorney Jobs in Fort Lauderdale, FL at CLOSED Title

CLOSED Title (www.closedtitle.com), recently ranked the 2nd fastest-growing title company in the country, is hiring an attorney to help grow our local book of business out of our downtown Fort Lauderdale headquarters.

This is a rare seat. You will not be buried in a document review queue or handed one narrow slice of a file. You will learn the real estate transaction from contract to funding, build relationships that generate your own business, and do it with an experienced South Florida team behind you and a founder group that has spent careers in title.

It suits two kinds of people equally well: a recent graduate who wants to learn a real practice area fast and build a book from day one, or a practicing attorney who wants into the transactional side of real estate with a company that is actually growing. The candidate we are looking for is genuinely motivated on both halves of the job — out in the market meeting people, and back at the desk closing files correctly.

About CLOSED

We are an attorney- and investor-owned modern title company building our town technology. Our platform moves much of the closing process online. We handle residential and investor transactions across Florida and nationwide.

The founders have deep title and real estate experience and will train you on our software ecosystem, on title insurance law, and on how a transaction actually comes together. You will finish your first year with real command of real property and title law — the kind that takes most attorneys five years to accumulate.

There is also a second door. You will have the opportunity to work as an associate for an affiliated law firm focused on real estate law, which broadens both your experience and your long-term options.

What You Will Do

Grow the business

• Identify, attend and work local marketing meetings, mastermind groups, brokerages, investor meetups and industry events across Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach.

• Build and maintain relationships with realtors, mortgage brokers, lenders, investors, builders that turn into repeat business for CLOSED.

• Present CLOSED and our technology confidently to a room, a sales meeting or a one-on-one coffee.

• Follow up consistently — track your pipeline, stay in front of referral sources, and ask for the business.

• Bring back what you hear in the market so we can sharpen how we compete.

Run the transaction

• Review title commitments, lien searches, surveys and municipal searches.

• Satisfy title requirements and clear title defects, including payoffs, estates, probate matters, judgments, liens, boundary issues and curative work.

• Draft and review closing documents, including settlement statements, HUD-1s, Closing Disclosures, deeds, affidavits and related instruments.

• Communicate with clients, agents, lenders and opposing counsel in person, by phone and by video conference.

• Conduct closings, oversee funding and disbursement, and manage the file to a clean post-closing.

• Review executed closing packages for accuracy and complete post-closing follow-through, including recording and policy issuance.

• Escalate coverage and underwriting questions appropriately and learn to make those calls yourself over time.

Requirements

Bar admission

Applicant must be a current member of The Florida Bar in good standing, or must meet all of the following:

• Sat for the July 2026 Florida Bar Examination;

• Has completed their background investigation;

• Has received registrant clearance; and

• Is eligible to take the Oath of Attorney upon attainment of a passing score on the bar examination.

Experience and education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply — no prior real estate or title experience is required, and we will train the right person.

The personal qualities that actually matter here

• Outgoing and genuinely comfortable with people. A meaningful part of this role is walking into a room where you know nobody and leaving with two relationships. If the idea of that energizes you rather than drains you, this job will work.

• Willing to ask for business. Being pleasant is not the same as being effective. We need someone who can build rapport and then actually ask for the referral.

• Self-starting and accountable. You will be given training, support, marketing resources and air cover, and then you are expected to go build something.

• Available when the market is. Industry events, broker breakfasts and investor meetups frequently fall outside 9-to-5. You should be willing to work some early mornings and evenings.

• Detail-obsessed. Settlement statements, legal descriptions, payoff figures and wire instructions are unforgiving. A decimal point matters here more than in almost any other legal role.

• Calm under deadline pressure. We named the company CLOSED for a reason- we get deals CLOSED and deliver for our clients.

• Trustworthy with money and confidential information. You will be around escrow funds, wire instructions and non-public personal information every day. Discretion and sound judgment are non-negotiable.

• Coachable. Our founders will train you directly. The people who thrive here take feedback well and apply it quickly.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication — you will be explaining complicated things to nervous first-time buyers and sophisticated investors on the same day.

• Strong legal research, analysis and drafting ability.

• Genuine comfort with technology and cloud-based software, and the ability to pick up new platforms quickly. We are a software company as much as a title company.

• Organizational discipline — the ability to manage dozens of open files, deadlines and follow-ups without anything slipping.

• Professional presence and polish. You will be the face of CLOSED at the closing table and in front of referral partners.

• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally for meetings, events and closings.

• Florida notary commission, or willingness to obtain one promptly (we will cover the cost).

Preferred, but not required

• Prior experience in real estate, title, escrow, closings or transactional practice.

• Existing relationships with realtors, lenders, mortgage brokers or investors in South Florida.

• Experience with Qualia or comparable title production software.

• Familiarity with investor and cash transactions, 1031 exchanges, short sales, foreclosures, new construction or commercial closings.

• Conversational Spanish, or Portuguese— a real advantage in this market.

• Prior sales, business development, hospitality or other client-facing experience.

Compensation and What We Offer

• Base salary of $60,000 to $80,000, depending on experience, with a significant ceiling on total earnings as the book of business you develop grows.

• Direct training from the founders on title insurance law, real property law and our technology — not shadowing, actual instruction.

• The opportunity to work as an associate for an affiliated real estate law firm.

• A real growth trajectory. We are the 2nd fastest-growing title company in the country according to INC Magazine and we promote from within. Early people here have moved up quickly.

• Marketing support and a technology platform that makes you competitive against firms many times our size.

• Health insurance, 401(k), paid time off and paid holidays.
