We are partnered with a leading global law firm in its search for a Public Relations Specialist to support its Litigation practice. This opportunity forms part of the firm's ongoing investment in strengthening its business development and communications presence in Washington, DC, underscoring the strategic importance of the region and its litigation, regulatory, and enforcement capabilities.

This is a highly visible role that combines media relations, strategic communications, thought leadership, and profile-raising initiatives. Working closely with partners, lawyers, and business development professionals, you will help drive the firm's reputation in the market, support major litigation matters, and ensure the firm's successes are effectively communicated to key audiences.

We are keen to speak with PR and communications professionals with experience in a law firm, professional services firm, agency, or corporate environment. Prior exposure to litigation, disputes, investigations, regulatory, or enforcement matters is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the development and execution of media strategies for the firm's litigation practice groups and lawyers, aligning communications activity with practice objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day media relations activities, including responding to press enquiries, coordinating statements, and monitoring coverage.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key legal, business, and trade journalists covering litigation, regulation, and enforcement matters.
  • Provide strategic messaging support and media preparation for partners and lawyers.
  • Collaborate with business development teams and partners to promote significant litigation achievements and market successes.
  • Assist with litigation-focused award submissions and other market recognition opportunities.
  • Draft press releases, media announcements, and other external communications materials.
  • Identify and facilitate thought leadership and bylined article opportunities to enhance the firm's profile.
  • Create content for the firm's website and broader communications channels.
  • Support reporting, research, and analysis projects related to media coverage, industry trends, and communications performance.
