Objective of the job
Processing Qatar based employee visas and work permits by liaising with Government Departments and its agencies along with any other related tasks. To provide an effective and quality level of service relating to all visa issues, guiding and advising staff on all PRO matters, developing and implementing procedures and work routines. The PRO is responsible for all activities relating to the processing of visas and licenses.
Qualification & Experience
Good knowledge of activities in and around Qatar
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent in Arabic and English (Reading, writing and speaking)
Demonstrate sound level of leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and to timescales
Acceptable level of experience in a similar role.
Five years in a PRO role or a similar position.
A qualification relating to the Labor Law would be advantageous
Duties and responsibilities
Processing all type of visas for Qatar & non Qatar based employees pre-entry into the Qatar and in country visa applications.
Typing all documents
Arranging medicals and visa stamping for staff
Issuing of renewed work permit labor cards and all matters relating to this area (i.e. lost cards)
Filing of returns or other information as stipulated under labor law
Ensuring that no penalties are imposed by the authorities in relation to the above.
Building and maintaining a database which contains the related particulars of passports, visas, and labor cards (i.e. number, issuing authority, country, expiry date etc)
Building amiable public relations with the Departments of Labor/Immigration/Economic , Police and other Government bodies.
Liaising with the required Government departments and Government bodies such as, Chamber of Commerce, Municipality etc. to obtain necessary approvals expeditiously.
Renewing trade license, commercial license and keeping them updated.
Keeping up to date with any revisions/amendments to the Labor and Immigration departments laws/processes.
To put provisions in place that ensure employees whose visas are cancelled leave the country.
Occasionally visiting the Policy Department to deal with any problems or any other purposes of the company.
Carrying out ad-hoc HR duties as requested.
Required Competency
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills including the ability to manage competing priorities, monitor and co-ordinate administrative processes to achieve deadlines and desired outcomes.
Ability to develop collaborative partnerships and liaise with peers, customers and key stakeholders on service delivery and related issues.
Build and maintain these relationships in a way that is beneficial to the organization as a whole.
Must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Labor/Immigration Department software packages as well as fully conversant in MS Office (especially Excel, Word and Outlook)
Continuously looks at ways that processes and procedures can be improved to benefit the jobholder as well as the organization as a whole.
Demonstrating evidence of cutting out unnecessary stages and streamlining processes.

Qualification requirement
Minimum Diploma in Business Administration / HR.
Lower level qualifications may be considered only in exceptional cases of having a good level of experience to compensate.
