Would you like to work on European and international technology policy? We are opening a Public Policy Associate position in cooperation with our client Workday, starting in June. In this position, you will be working in partnership with Workday’s European Corporate Affairs team in Brussels.

We are looking for a highly motivated recent graduate in political science/economy/law with a passion for EU policy and an interest in technology who wants to pursue a career in European and international public policy. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in EU affairs, engage with key stakeholders, and contribute to technology policy initiatives. You will support the Workday team in monitoring, analyzing, and participating in policy debates in technology policy areas such as artificial intelligence, data protection and data transfers, cybersecurity, workforce, skills development and the future of work, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on EU policy developments, legislative proposals, and regulatory trends in technology and digital policy.
Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on relevant policy and legislative activities, including committee meetings, public consultations, and stakeholder engagements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in building and maintaining relationships with EU institutions, industry associations, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders.
Policy Advocacy: Support the development and execution of advocacy strategies, including drafting position papers, policy briefs, and communication materials, and conduct outreach to relevant policy makers.
Event Coordination: Help organise and participate in conferences, workshops, and meetings related to EU policy and technology issues.
Administration and communications: Provide general administrative assistance, including scheduling meetings and preparing documentation.

Qualifications and profile:
Knowledge: A recently graduated student in political science/economy/law with a solid understanding of EU law, institutional setup, policy-making processes, and current EU affairs. Awareness of trends in technology and digital policy.
Skills: Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills; proficiency in common work software and familiarity with digital communication tools.
Languages: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential; knowledge of additional EU languages is a plus.
Attributes: Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn; strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
