This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated public policy professional to join their team and lead impactful policy advocacy efforts.

The Role:

As a Public Policy Associate, you will play a key role in driving strategic advocacy across state and local government bodies, creating innovative solutions, and identifying opportunities for growth. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, providing critical updates and advice on regulatory and political matters, while supporting high-priority projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster and develop relationships with key government stakeholders, engaging them in discussions around policy development and implementation.

Monitor and assess developments in government policies related to housing, tourism, and technology.

Stay updated on upcoming policy consultations, regulatory changes, white papers, and industry discussions.

Conduct thorough research on government policies and initiatives, ensuring comprehensive documentation.

Prepare high-quality written materials, including briefings, correspondence, and presentations.

Support internal compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to newly implemented laws and regulations.

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a political, policy, or government-related role, ideally with experience in policy development or implementation. This could include work in a parliamentary or ministerial office or a government department.

Proven project management skills, with experience in cross-functional team environments.

Strong understanding of government processes, including political and parliamentary operations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Energetic, proactive, and results-driven with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude.

Tertiary qualification in Law, Politics, Business or a related field.
