We are looking for a proactive and insightful Public Affairs/Government Relations Associate to support our engagement with policymakers, regulators, advocacy groups, and the public on issues impacting the technology landscape. This role will be instrumental in helping the company understand local and foreign policy goals, managing reputational risks, and helping shape the public conversation around digital platforms, content moderation, data privacy, and emerging technologies. Ideal candidates are passionate about the intersection of technology, society, and policy.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor legislation, regulatory proposals, and public discourse related to social media, digital rights, online safety, content governance, privacy, and emerging technologies like AI locally as well as around the world. Picking out trends that may impact the business

Draft briefing documents, policy position papers, talking points, stakeholder updates, and regulatory responses to update and advocate internally.

Support outreach and relationship-building efforts with policymakers, advocacy organizations, think tanks, and industry associations.

Help organize and execute public affairs campaigns, roundtables, policy forums, and stakeholder meetings.

Track and analyze political and social trends that could affect the company’s platform, user community, or regulatory environment.

Collaborate with legal, communications, product, and trust & safety teams to ensure alignment on messaging and priorities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Communications, Law, or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience in public affairs, policy advocacy, government agencies or similar organisations—preferably in tech or a related field.

Strong interest in digital policy issues such as platform regulation, online speech, data privacy, and tech accountability.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for diverse audiences.

Knowledge of political and regulatory dynamics in tech and media, especially in the U.S. and/or key international markets.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.

Familiarity with global internet governance and platform regulation trends.

Experience working with cross-functional internal teams in high-stakes or high-visibility environments.
