Job Purpose:
Execute and manage end-to-end construction contract administration activities across assigned building, facilities, and fit-out projects or multiple work packages, ensuring commercial control, contractual compliance, schedule alignment, cost discipline, and proper closeout of all contractual deliverables. The role supports project execution through structured coordination with contractors, consultants, legal, finance, and internal stakeholders, and requires independent judgment, strong documentation control, and proactive management of variations, claims, notices, payments, and contract risks.
Key Accountabilities:
Contract Administration & Documentation
- Manage contracts, amendments, and change orders for assigned projects.
- Prepare and control contract-related records and correspondence.
- Apply contract terms, notices, and procedures correctly.
- Maintain complete and auditable contract files and register
Variations & Claims Management
- Review variation orders for scope, cost, and time impact.
- Assess contractor claims against contract terms and records.
- Coordinate internal review of claims and commercial issues.
- Maintain updated variation and claims log
Payments & Cost Control
- Review payment applications against contract terms and progress.
- Track payments, variations, and claims against budget.
- Highlight cost deviations and commercial exposure.
- Maintain payment and cost control records.
Contract Compliance & Risk
- Monitor contractual obligations, timelines, and notice requirements
- Ensure issuance and tracking of contractual notices
- Identify contractual risks and compliance gaps within project scope
- Support mitigation actions and escalate where required
Stakeholder Coordination & Dispute Handling
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, legal, and finance.
- Support clarification, negotiation, and dispute discussions.
- Prepare contractual summaries and issue reports.
- Follow up on pending actions across stakeholder.
Contract Closeout & Reporting
- Manage final account and contract closeout activities.
- Verify warranties, as-built documents, and final deliverables.
- Ensure complete archival of contract records.
- Support final reporting and closure of outstanding item
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Minimum Experience:
- 4 – 6 years of relevant experience
Language Requirements:
- Arabic: Advanced
- English: Advanced
Preferred Certifications
- PMP is preferred.
- FIDIC certification is an advantage.
- Certifications related to contract management, commercial administration, or construction claims are beneficial.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing review and coordination.
- Knowledge of quantity surveying, quantity take-off, and BOQ review.
- Familiarity with project scheduling, milestone tracking, and time impact assessment using Primavera, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
