My client, a renowned UK law firm, is currently recruiting a Junior Associate to join their Project Development and Finance practice here in Singapore. The team is highly ranked and works on high-profile energy and infrastructure projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise sponsors, lenders, and investors on complex energy and infrastructure projects.
Assist in drafting and managing project finance documents, including loan agreements, power purchase agreements, and other related contracts.
Prepare due diligence reports, focusing on key transactional elements.
Collaborate effectively with senior team members to manage project timelines across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Requirements:
Experience: NQ to 2 PQE gained in a common law jurisdiction, such as Singapore, England & Wales, or another equivalent.
Technical Knowledge: General banking/finance background. Familiarity with APLMA-based loan agreements, finance documents, and conditions precedent; experience working with DFIs or ECAs is a plus. Experience in project finance and sectors such as energy, utilities, and infrastructure would be viewed favorably.
Additional Skills: Exposure to project documentation, from front-end EPC contracts to PPAs, O&Ms, supply and offtake contracts, and others, would be highly beneficial.
Personal Attributes: Strong pedigree with a keen interest in the Energy & Infrastructure sector; a strong eagerness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex, time-sensitive transactions.
