The Opportunity
A leading international law firm is looking to hire a 4–5 PQE Project Finance Associate to join its highly regarded Dubai team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer with strong project finance experience to join a sophisticated international practice advising on major infrastructure, energy and development projects across the Middle East and internationally.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced partners and lawyers on complex, high-value transactions, with significant exposure to leading financial institutions, sponsors, developers and government-related entities.
The Role
You will advise on a broad range of project finance matters, including:
- Project financing transactions across the energy and infrastructure sectors
- Acquisition and leveraged/project financing
- Domestic and cross-border financing transactions
- Advising lenders, sponsors, borrowers and investors
- Negotiating facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements and related finance documentation
- Working on complex multi-jurisdictional transactions
- Supporting clients on projects across the Middle East and wider international markets
About You
We are looking for a lawyer who has:
- 4–5 years’ PQE with strong project finance experience
- Common law qualification
- Training and experience at a leading international law firm
- Strong technical project finance and banking experience
- Experience acting for lenders, sponsors and/or borrowers
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and client management skills
- The ability to work effectively on complex, cross-border transactions
- Middle East/regional experience is highly desirable, although outstanding candidates without regional experience will also be considered
- Excellent academic credentials and a strong international background
