Professional Liability Associate Attorney ( Full-Time ) ( Hybrid in NYC )
Location:
Hybrid in New York City
Salary: $125K – $175K
Must-Haves:
JD from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice in the State of New York
2+ years’ civil litigation experience
Professional liability experience preferred
Deposition and trial preparation experience
The Position
My Client seeks a Professional Liability Defense Associate to represent individuals and organizations in legal matters related to legal malpractice claims and other miscellaneous professionals.
The Professional Liability Attorney will provide legal advice, case management, and defense in lawsuits, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently manage or support a defense litigation caseload from inception through dispositive motion, mediation, negotiated resolution, or trial
Work closely with other attorneys and partners on legal projects
Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
Communicate with clients and provide status reports
Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice in the State of New York
2+ years’ civil litigation experience
Professional liability experience preferred
Deposition and trial preparation experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in conducting paper discovery, depositions, motion practice, and report writing
