You will work closely with faculty across diverse departments to address their grant award and subawarding needs, ensuring compliance with University policies, federal regulations, and legal requirements while applying your expertise in policy interpretation, budget development, and grant administration. Duties & Responsibilities

Contract Administration and Negotiation:
Process, draft, and negotiate a range of sponsored research agreements, starting with outgoing subaward modifications and new Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP) outgoing subaward agreements, eventually progressing to incoming award agreements, equipment loan agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDA), Material Transfer Agreements (MTA) and more.
Collaborate with the Office of General Counsel, Export Control, Tech Launch Arizona, and other university administrative/compliance offices as needed.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with prime award terms, university policies, procedures, and federal regulations throughout the subaward lifecycle.
Maintain and update a database to track the status of subawards and amendments.
Policy Development and Guidance:
Assist in the formulation of guidelines, procedures, and the development of templates and tools for agreements.
Provide interpretation and guidance on university policies and procedures to academic departments.
Interpret and apply complex funding regulations and guidelines to ensure proper contract management.
Knowledge and Professional Development:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current developments in policies, laws, regulations, and best practices related to university agreements.
Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to departmental knowledge sharing and training.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience and 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Federal regulations require that the incumbent be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or have another protected status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) to be ITAR/EAR compliant.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree, such as a J.D., MBA, or other advanced degree; sponsored research experience, university administration experience, and/or Certified Research Administrator Certification (CRA); or experience in business administration, contracting/subcontracting, or legal office.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
