This position is located in the Probation Department and reports to the Supervising Probation Officer.
Duties

The Probation Intake Coordinator performs reception/telephone duties and provides clerical support to probation officers in accordance with approved internal policies and procedures. The employee performs general office duties to include processing mail and faxes; maintaining, scanning and uploading case information in the Probation and Pretrial Services Automated Case Tracking System (PACTS) and in the department electronic case files.

Qualifications

Qualifications must be met at the time of the application.

Required:
High school graduation or equivalent with a minimum of one year of specialized experience. To be considered for placement above the minimum, at least two years of specialized experience is required.

Specialized Experience is defined as progressively responsible clerical or administrative experience requiring the regular and recurring application of clerical procedures that demonstrates the ability to apply a body of rules, regulations, directives, or laws and involve the routine use of specialized terminology and automated software and equipment for word processing, data entry or report generations. Such experience is commonly encountered in law firms, legal counsel offices, banking and credit firms, educational institutions, social service organizations, insurance companies, real estate and title offices, and corporate headquarters or human resources/payroll operations.

Preferred:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Currently performing similar duties in a legal, human services, and/or community correction setting.
