Probate Paralegal Jobs in Olympia, WA at Emerald Search Partners LLC
We are assisting a respected law firm in its search for an experienced Probate Paralegal (5289) to join its Olympia office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with probate and trust administration experience who enjoys working directly with clients, managing complex matters, and contributing to a collaborative, team-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file probate documents, including petitions, inventories, accountings, notices, and related court filings.
- Assist with all phases of estate and trust administration, including asset identification, valuation, distributions, and trust funding.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with probate court rules and statutory requirements.
- Maintain communication with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other interested parties.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries for attorney review.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
- Track billable time and assist with overall case management.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure matters progress efficiently and deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of probate and trust administration experience in a law firm or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of probate procedures and trust administration.
- Excellent legal research, organizational, and case management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with legal case management software; familiarity with Practice Panther is a plus.
- Paralegal certificate or degree in Legal Studies preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Notary Public commission is a plus.
Compensation
Up to $70,000 Annually, DOE
