Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal principles and practices, with a focus on providing support in various areas of law, including estate planning and administration, business transactions and liquor and gambling licensing. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Duties
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations.
Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, including contracts, applications for liquor and gambling licenses and estate planning and administration documents.
Perform document review and proofreading to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Manage case files and maintain organized records for ongoing legal matters.
Provide clerical support, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and filing documents.
Collaborate with attorneys on case management tasks to ensure timely progress on legal matters.
Communicate effectively with clients, staff, other law firms and other parties involved in our practice.
Experience
Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment is strongly preferred. Applicants with strong banking and/or title company background would be excel in this position.
Familiarity with drafting and revising transaction and estate planning and administration documents.
Strong skills in legal administrative tasks, document review, and file management.
Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality documentation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
