A leading alternative investment manager with a robust and diversified private equity and private credit platform is seeking a Senior Counsel, Private Equity Transactions to join its in‑house legal team. This is a high‑visibility, business‑facing role with the opportunity to take ownership of and lead the Private Equity Transactions legal function.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced investment environment, enjoys working directly with investment professionals, and is comfortable running sophisticated transactions from inception to close.
The Opportunity
As Senior Counsel, you will:
- Serve as the primary legal advisor for private equity transactions across the platform.
- Lead and negotiate transactions end‑to‑end – from initial structuring and diligence through execution and closing.
- Work closely with senior leadership, investment teams, and external counsel on a variety of complex matters.
- Support financing activities, including sponsor‑side financings, fund financings, and leveraged transactions.
- Contribute to strategic legal initiatives and help shape processes as the platform continues to grow.

What We're Looking For
Experience:
- 7-11 years of relevant experience.
- Trained at a top-tier law firm; in‑house experience at a private equity, private credit, or broader alternative investment platform is a plus.
- Significant experience representing private equity sponsors on M&A, financing transactions, and/or structured or private credit deals.
- Strong familiarity with fund financing, NAV facilities, subscription lines, or related transactions is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deals autonomously, collaborate with commercial stakeholders, and drive processes efficiently.
