Lexitas Legal has a client, the investment arm of a prestigious philanthropic entity seeks to hire two Corporate Paralegals for their Legal Department to be responsible for legal and regulatory matters. This is an on-site role in NYC 4 days a week and one day remote.
Duties And Responsibilities
Draft, review, and revise a very high volume of contracts across various categories, including service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, event agreements, and software/technology licenses
Handle urgent contract requests with tight turnaround times while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Work closely with internal business teams to translate business needs into clear, practical contract language and escalate key risks as needed
Support contract lifecycle management, including tracking key dates, amendments, and renewals
Assist in developing and maintaining contract templates and playbooks for common agreements
Manage longer-term legal projects, including updating contract templates, tracking intellectual property assets, maintaining contract/vendor inventories, and improving legal processes
Attend meetings with business teams, synthesize key takeaways, and track follow-up actions related to legal and contractual matters
Assist in due diligence related to transactions
Provide general support to the legal team on transactional matters and special projects
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a law firm with a focus on transactional work (contract drafting experience is essential)
Proven ability to manage a high volume of contracts with accuracy and efficiency
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with business teams under tight deadlines
Exceptional organizational and time management skills—must be comfortable juggling multiple high-priority contracts while also managing longer-term projects
Proficiency in Word, comparison software, contract management systems, and Excel required
Proficiency in legal research tools is a plus
3 years of experience – (110-120K)
4-6+ years of experience – (130-150K+)
IP experience ideal for one paralegal position and Investment Management experience a plus for the second paralegal position.
