Job Overview
Our plaintiffs’ auto accident law firm is seeking a detailed, motivated, and experienced Pre-Litigation Paralegal to manage personal injury cases from inception through the start of litigation. This is a full-time, strictly in-person position where you will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, helping them navigate their recovery and legal journey. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish to serve as the primary point of contact for our diverse clients.
Responsibilities
- Interview new clients, set up new files and manage/organize case files using legal support software, Smart Advacate.
- Handle all aspects of No-Fault insurance claims, including filing applications, and monitoring deadlines. Help clients complete and submit necessary documentation to recover lost wages.
- Set up and manage bodily injury claims with liability insurance carriers. Assist clients with property damage claims, vehicle inspections, and total loss evaluations. Coordinate with third-party companies to facilitate pre-settlement funding for clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and compassionate support. Monitor and coordinate client medical treatment to ensure consistent care.
- Manage calendars and schedule client appointments, IME appointments, and meetings.
- Order, track, and organize medical records, bills, and liens. Coordinate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties to facilitate timely exchange of information and documentation.
- Review medical files, and draft comprehensive settlement demand packages.
- Assist in preparing for depositions, mediations, or settlement negotiations.
Qualifications
- NYC experience handling plaintiffs’ personal injury or auto accident cases from start to finish.
- Strong working knowledge of No-Fault insurance regulations and procedures.
- Excellent verbal communication skills for frequent client interactions.
- Exceptional organizational skills and strict adherence to case deadlines.
- Proficiency with legal case management software.
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
