The Associate Litigation Attorney will work closely with senior litigation attorneys, assisting with case evaluation, strategy formulation, and client collaboration. This is an exciting opportunity for recent law graduates or those with minimal litigation experience, as we provide the mentorship and training needed for professional growth.
Responsibilities:
Day-today activities include:
Working with and supporting senior litigation attorneys.
Collaborate with clients to evaluate issues and claims as well as formulate strategies.
Assist clients in complying with municipal, state and federal obligations.
Gather evidence as well as review, manage and produce material as appropriate.
Interview witnesses and conduct site visits.
Draft correspondence to clients and opposing parties.
Draft and file pleadings, motions and other court-related documents.
Draft and serve written discovery as well as respond to discovery requests from opposing parties.
Facilitate the preparation of expert reports.
Take and defend depositions of percipient and expert witnesses.
Make appearances in municipal, state and federal courts.
Engage in alternate dispute resolution processes both before and during litigation.
Assist with trial-related efforts.
Qualifications:
What we would like you to bring to the team…
J.D. degree from accredited law school
License to practice law in Nevada
An interest in working in the exciting space of legal litigation
Outstanding time management skills
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
