Ventura Law, an established and growing law firm (founded in 1957), is hiring a Senior Trial Attorney for a crucial position focused exclusively on litigation and jury trials. This is a high-impact opportunity for a courtroom-proven attorney to serve as lead trial counsel on significant cases in our established personal injury practice. The position may be based out of Danbury (our main office) or out of one of our other Connecticut office locations (including, potentially, Hartford or Bridgeport) depending upon the candidate’s location and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as lead trial counsel in state court personal injury jury trials across Connecticut.
Oversee and manage a full caseload of litigated matters from inception through verdict.
Develop case strategy and supervise case preparation, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial presentation.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior litigation attorneys and legal support staff.
Identify potential cases from pending inventory, and at time of intake, which can be cultivated and aggressively worked up to maximize recovery through litigation.
Collaborate with partners and firm leadership to elevate the trial practice and deliver exceptional results for clients.
Requirements:
Active Connecticut Bar membership in good standing.
Minimum 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience, including jury trial experience as first chair.
Proven track record of successful (i.e. completed) jury verdicts in Connecticut.
Ability to independently manage litigation caseload and trial calendar.
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to effectively supervise and manage legal support staff under direct responsibility.
Preferred:
Admission to the New York Bar is a plus.
Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.

Direct Origination Credit for cases generated exclusively by the attorney.
