Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented Policy Analyst for a 12-month contract role supporting a dynamic Public Policy team for a global leader in the e-commerce.

Title: Policy Analyst – Global Public Policy

Location: working remotely from New York, NY

Duration: 12-Month Contract

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations, consulting, or related fields who are passionate about analyzing global policy developments and translating them into actionable business insights. 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations, consulting, or similar roles

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze political, regulatory, and legislative developments across global markets
  • Research and interpret complex policy and regulatory information
  • Assess the potential impact of policy developments on business priorities
  • Prepare policy briefings, reports, and internal updates for senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align policy insights with business needs
  • Support policy monitoring systems, reporting initiatives, and AI-enabled research tools

Must-Have Skills

  • 2–3 years of experience in public policy, regulatory analysis, government affairs, consulting, or related fields
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information
  • Experience tracking legislative, regulatory, and policy developments
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and well-supported written analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with policy monitoring tools, databases, or research platforms
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools for policy research and analysis
  • Experience supporting transparency reporting or compliance-related workstreams
  • Knowledge of global regulatory and technology policy trends

Soft Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Curiosity and interest in global political and regulatory developments
  • Ability to translate complex policy topics into actionable business insights

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, Political Science, International Relations, Law, Business, or a related field preferred

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $25 – $30 Hourly on W2.
