Position: Â POLICE OFFICER
The Northern Berks Regional Police Department will be accepting employment applications for the position of Police Officer. Applications WILL NOT BE MAILED TO APPLICANTS. Completed applications will be accepted until 2 pm February 28th 2025. Applications received after this date will not be considered. There is no fee for submitting an application. Starting salary of a probationary officer is $77,096.98/year.
Interested applicants must be Act 120 Certified by their date of hire and be 21 years of age. All applicants must be a US Citizen, possess a valid PA driver’s license, and possess a high school diploma or GED. Previous Police experience will be given consideration.
Any appointment to the position of Police Officer shall be contingent upon the candidate successfully completing a psychological examination, a medical examination including a drug/alcohol screen, and a thorough background investigation.
Anyone seeking veteran’s preference must submit a copy of their form DD-214.
