We’re a well-established California plaintiff’s personal injury firm looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and wants to make a real impact on our clients’ cases.

The right candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities. You’ll work closely with attorneys, clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and experts to keep every case moving forward.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Draft discovery requests and responses, pleadings, correspondence, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
  • Prepare, review, and file/e-file Judicial Council forms, pleadings, and other documents in California state court and, on occasion, California Federal court.
  • Manage case calendaring, litigation deadlines, and court scheduling.
  • Organize, review, analyze, and maintain large volumes of electronic and paper documents
  • Coordinate document productions and manage all phases of discovery and e-discovery.
  • Prepare tables of contents, tables of authorities, trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, and other trial materials.
  • Draft medical summaries, case chronologies, and settlement demand support as needed
  • Support attorneys with trial prep, mediations, depositions, and hearings.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of substantive paralegal experience, preferably in personal injury law.
  • Solid understanding of California civil litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Experience with discovery, motion practice, court filings, and trial preparation.
  • Hands-on experience filing/e-filing in California state courts. Familiratity with filing/e-filing in California Federal court is a plus.
  • Strong legal writing, proofreading, grammar, and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, and Windows.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus
