This role will involve handling personal injury and civil litigation cases from intake through to settlement or jury verdict. Duties:
Represent clients in personal injury and civil litigation cases from start to finish
Communicate with clients to gather facts and provide legal counsel
Take and defend depositions
Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
Lead mediations and develop case strategies
Argue motions and appear in court
Conduct jury trials and secure favorable verdicts for clients
Collaborate with a nationwide team of attorneys and support staff
Participate in ongoing legal training and professional development
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation
Proven track record as a first-chair attorney in jury trials
Licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Bar
Experience drafting and responding to legal motions
Strong knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active and valid membership with the Florida State Bar
Certifications:
Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Florida
Skills:
Strong legal research and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proven negotiation and mediation skills
Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously with strong attention to detail
