West Coast Trial Lawyers, a Los Angeles personal injury law firm, is seeking a Senior Litigation Assistant with at least 4 years of experience in personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation from case inception through trial, and must be proficient in drafting and propounding discovery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently manage personal injury litigation cases from Pre-Litigation through trial, including complex case preparation and post-trial wrap-up.
Serve as the primary liaison between clients and the supervising attorney, ensuring timely and professional communication.
Communicate and coordinate with opposing counsel, court personnel, expert witnesses, and other parties involved in litigation.
Maintain and monitor attorney calendars, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines under the California Code of Civil Procedure and local court rules.
Efficiently handle a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision, prioritizing urgent matters and deadlines.
File legal documents in various county and federal courts, including e-filing and traditional filing as required.
Maintain detailed and accurate case files, including documentation of client communications, court deadlines, and case milestones.
Prepare, serve, and track discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and notices of deposition.
Draft a variety of legal documents including complaints, answers, motions, discovery responses, and trial-related materials for attorney review.
Assist with trial preparation, including the organization of trial binders, exhibits, witness lists, and jury instructions.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 4 years of litigation experience, with a focus on personal injury law.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Proven ability to work both independently with a lead attorney and collaboratively within a legal team.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience with legal software platforms such as Filevine, Abacus Law, or Clio.
Skilled in preparing trial and exhibit binders.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
In-Person: This is an in-office position located in downtown Los Angeles.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
