Duties:
Work as part of a legal team to provide superior client service and ensure efficient case flow.
Evaluate the merits of potential cases and develop case strategies in collaboration with experts and senior attorneys.
Conduct and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, non-party witnesses, and third parties.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, expert exchanges, and other legal correspondence.
Prepare for and participate in trials.
Develop a personal brand and reputation to expand the network of case referral sources.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Personal Injury and/or Medical Malpractice Law.
Proven ability to manage cases from inception through trial, including depositions and motions.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent client service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and experts.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
Admission to NYS federal courts preferred.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active Bar membership in the state of New York.
Skills:
Strong litigation and trial preparation skills.
Experience in depositions and expert witness coordination.
Proficient in legal research and drafting legal documents.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
