Overview
Opening for an entry-level or newer attorney (0-4 years experience) for primarily litigation position. Must be member of Florida bar. (California bar membership a plus but not required.) Attorney will be given own case load and manage support staff, as well as handling tasks related to other litigation and transactional matters under supervision of senior attorney. Salary will be based on experience along with competitive bonuses and commissions. Experience is less important than personality and fit within our team. We are seeking a motivated attorney looking to learn and grow, both personally and professionally, while fulfilling a needed service to clients and maintaining a work-life balance.
Duties
Manage Florida collections litigation with support from senior counsel
Manage client relationship
Manage paralegals and support staff
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
Prepare for and attend court hearings and other legal proceedings as required.
Maintain accurate records of all case-related activities and communications.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure comprehensive client representation.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in FLORIDA (California bar membership a plus but not required).
Proven experience in legal research and writing with a strong understanding of various areas of law.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex legal issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
We are a small California-based law firm expanding into Florida (2 lawyers, 4 support staff). Our office is in Irvine, California (although this position is listed as remote, a Florida licensed lawyer that lives in Orange County could work from our office; we would also consider opening a physical office in Florida). This position offers an opportunity to take on significant responsibilities.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
