Shenderovich Shenderovich & Fishman P.C. is a personal injury law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation to our clients.
We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our Attorneys with case preparation and management,ensuring that our clients receive the best possible representation.
<Responsibilities>
- Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake to resolution
- Review and summarize medical records
- Scan, organize and maintain case files in client management software to ensure files are accurately up to date
- Communication with clients, medical providers, insurance companies and opposing counsel
- Confirm, negotiate and pay health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid liens
- Draft and send professional correspondence
- Draft and file legal documents including,pleadings,motions,and discovery
- Schedule depositions, oral arguments on motions,and other case related events
- Manage and meet deadlines for statutes of limitations and other case related filings
- Support in mediation and trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witnesses preparations
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or related field(or equivalent experience)
- Must possess the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a workload with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Highly organized
- Excellent expertise in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Proficiency in using case management software
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment a must
- Location downtown Pittsburgh(in office position) you may work from home 1 day a week after a successfully completing a 6 month probationary period. 6 extra work from home days per years may also be granted after probationary period.
