We are seeking a highly motivated, full-cycle Legal Recruiter with a proven track record in attorney placements. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with deep knowledge of the legal industry and a strong network of legal professionals, including associates, partners, in-house counsel, and legal support staff.
Job Overview:
As a Legal Recruiter, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle with a focus on identifying and placing attorneys into law firms and corporate legal departments. This is a client- and candidate-facing role that demands professionalism, discretion, and industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and Business Development:
Develop sourcing strategies tailored to legal roles (e.g., litigation, corporate, IP, real estate, compliance).
Leverage law school alumni groups, bar associations, legal job boards, LinkedIn, and your network to engage top-tier legal talent.
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified attorneys for current and future roles.
Foster strong relationships with law firms and corporate legal departments to understand their hiring needs.
Candidate Engagement & Placement:
Screen resumes to assess legal experience, credentials, and fit.
Conduct interviews with candidates to understand practice area focus, career goals, and cultural fit.
Present qualified candidates to clients with comprehensive write-ups.
Prepare candidates for interviews, assist with negotiations, and provide support through placement and onboarding.
Client Management:
Serve as a consultative partner to clients, offering market insights, compensation benchmarks, and hiring strategy support.
Ensure high levels of satisfaction by delivering top talent and a seamless hiring experience.
Performance & Metrics:
Track activity and placement data to monitor effectiveness and drive improvements.
Report on pipeline progress and placement outcomes.
Requirements
Proven experience as a full-cycle recruiter with a focus on legal placements—attorney recruiting experience is required.
Strong understanding of law firm structures, legal practice areas, and the legal hiring landscape.
Self-starter with a high degree of professionalism, organization, and accountability.
Proficiency with ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools.
Excellent communication skills and a client-first approach.
Ability to thrive in a remote, independent contractor role.

Existing book of business or strong candidate network in the legal field.
Experience placing attorneys across multiple jurisdictions or practice areas.
