Personal Injury ParalegalPosition Summary

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and motivated Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and experience supporting attorneys throughout the entire life cycle of a case, from initial client intake through settlement and trial preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial client intake and interviews and gather information and documentation necessary to evaluate personal injury claims.
  • Assist attorneys with drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, settlement demands, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date electronic case files.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in each case.
  • Request, obtain, organize, and review medical records and medical bills.
  • Prepare summaries of medical records, treatment histories, damages, and other case-related documentation.
  • Assist with case evaluations and preparation of settlement demands and settlement packages.
  • Prepare settlement documentation, including settlement statements and distribution schedules.
  • Assist attorneys with preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials, including organizing exhibits and other case materials.
  • Monitor case deadlines, court dates, discovery deadlines, and other important dates.
  • Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with case preparation as needed.
  • Manage calendars and schedule client meetings, depositions, mediations, medical appointments, and other case-related events.
  • Perform other case-management and administrative duties as necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of personal injury litigation and case management procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while also working collaboratively with attorneys and other team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case-management software.
  • Familiarity with electronic filing systems and virtual legal practice tools.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience reviewing medical records is preferred.
  • Professional, dependable, and client-focused.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to applicable ethical and professional standards.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new responsibilities.
