FlechaConnect is partnering with a well-established Miami law firm looking to add a talented Litigation Associate to its Downtown Miami team.
This is a great opportunity for an attorney who enjoys substantive litigation work and wants to be part of a team handling complex personal injury and medical malpractice matters. The firm is open to attorneys coming from either the plaintiff or defense side and is most interested in finding a strong litigator who can think strategically, write well and take ownership of their cases.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters from strategy through resolution. not simply handle one piece of the litigation process.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage cases through all phases of litigation
- Develop case strategy and manage key deadlines
- Draft pleadings, substantive motions, briefs and other legal documents
- Manage written discovery and document review
- Take and defend depositions
- Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations and other court proceedings
- Work directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Assist with trial strategy, witness preparation and trial materials
- Collaborate closely with experienced attorneys and legal staff
- Participate in networking and business development opportunities
What we’re looking for:
- Active member of the Florida Bar
- 2+ years of personal injury and/or medical malpractice litigation experience
- Plaintiff or defense backgrounds are welcome
- Strong research, writing and analytical skills
- Experience handling discovery and depositions
- Ability to manage matters and deadlines independently
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Someone who enjoys collaborating with a team while also taking ownership of their work
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $150K–$200K, depending on experience, plus bonus and opportunities for annual increases.
