Full-Time | In-Person | $19–$25/hour
Olowu Law, P.A. is seeking an experienced Florida Personal Injury Legal Assistant / Case Manager to join our growing Fort Lauderdale office.
We are looking for a case owner—not simply a task completer. You should be able to independently manage PI files, communicate with clients, stay ahead of deadlines, and proactively move cases toward settlement.
Responsibilities
- Manage PI cases from intake through settlement and disbursement
- Maintain regular client communication and case updates
- Monitor medical treatment and case progression
- Request and organize medical records, bills, liens, records and insurance information
- Communicate with medical providers, adjusters, and opposing counsel
- Track deadlines, demands, offers, and outstanding items
- Assist with discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation
- Assist with lien reductions and settlement disbursements
- Conduct intake and assist with incoming calls when needed
Requirements
- Prior Florida personal injury case-management experience required
- Experience independently managing an active PI caseload
- Knowledge of Florida auto accident and premises-liability claims
- Strong client communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable, proactive, and able to work independently
- Bilingual: English/Spanish OR English/Haitian Creole
- Available to work full-time, in person in Fort Lauderdale
Experience with litigation, car accidents, slip-and-falls, negligent security, dog bites, wrongful death, or catastrophic injury cases is a plus.
