Duties
- Manage a caseload of personal injury claims in the prelitigation stage, coordinating all aspects from initial client intake to settlement.
- Conduct thorough client interviews to gather detailed case information and document injuries, damages, and relevant medical or legal records.
- Utilize legal case management systems such as Clio to organize case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with procedural law requirements.
- Prepare compelling demand packets and negotiate aggressively and proactively with insurance adjusters under supervision of a licensed attorney.
- Order and organize medical records and billing using systems such as Archtrieval.
- Perform legal research using LexisNexis to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant personal injury laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, healthcare providers, and attorneys to facilitate case progress and maintain positive relationships.
- Enter data accurately and carefully, and handle confidential information with integrity.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of personal injury law.
- Strong experience with legal support tools including Word processing software, document review platforms, LexisNexis, Clio.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently while meeting deadlines consistently.
- Excellent interviewing skills to extract detailed information from clients and witnesses effectively.
- Proven ability in demand preparation and negotiation of claims.
- Effective client communication skills combined with professional phone etiquette to foster trust and clarity.
- Experience handling confidential information responsibly within a legal environment.
- Ability to coordinate tasks using project management principles while supporting administrative functions like filing and document management systems.
