Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to handle personal injury cases in D.C. This role involves managing a caseload of litigation matters, providing top-tier legal representation, and preparing cases for trial. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law with proven litigation experience in D.C. The position is based in our DC office, with a schedule of 4 days in-office and 1 day remote.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management: Handle a caseload of personal injury litigation matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases.
Litigation: Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, conduct depositions, and represent clients in court hearings.
Trial Preparation: Develop case strategies, prepare witnesses, and organize evidence for trial.
Legal Research and Writing: Conduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and memoranda.
Client Relations: Maintain communication with clients, provide updates, and guide them through litigation.
Settlement Negotiations: Engage in negotiations ensuring favorable outcomes for clients.
Jurisdictional Compliance: Ensure all filings and submissions comply with DC court rules.
Compensation
Base salary plus bonus.
Qualifications and Skills
Licensed to practice law in D.C.
3-5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
Strong knowledge of personal injury law and litigation phases.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases.
Proven negotiation skills.
Proficiency with case management and litigation software.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
