My client is a well-known sports betting and gambling company with international reach.
They are seeking to appoint a Paralegal to provide legal and admin support their Payments Legal Team on a 6-month fixed term contract.
Key responsibilities:
support to internal stakeholders, assisting with project management and administrative tasks.
Support the Payments Team with contract reviews and analysis.
Update the payments contracts database and ensure that all documents are properly filed and up to date.
Conduct legal research on regulatory developments impacting payment platforms; proactively monitor and review legislation in order to help ensure accurate and up-to-date inventories of all legal obligations.
The ideal candidate:
Excellent academic credentials, law degree preferable
Minimum of 2 years’ previous experience working in a paralegal role at a law firm or in-house. Either commercial contracts or payments experience preferred.
Legal research skills, including an understanding of legal databases such as Westlaw or Lexis-Nexis
Familiarity with CRM platforms, for example, ServiceNow
Previous project management experience
Excellent communication and written skills, enabling you to engage with stakeholders confidently.
Multi-tasking skills; effectively managing multiple tasks at the same time.
A keen eye for detail; the ability to review documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Administrative skills including creating and managing an effective filing system.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, energetic team environment and successfully manage multiple deadlines.
The company offer great hybrid working, with a requirement to be in the office a minimum of 2 days each week.
