Position: Patent Prosecution Associate (EE/CS)

A small IP boutique is looking to hire a patent prosecution (EE/CS) lawyer to join them. This is a very unusual opportunity in that they are 100% fine with

remote work

(as many of their current lawyers work remotely as well), and they are also 100% fine with part-time work.

Hours:

They are always interested in people who are looking for a slightly different situation. They can offer a different financial package for billing 1200 hours, 1400 hours, 1600 hours, 1800 hours, etc. All arrangements are on the table. Even billing 20 hours per week is OK if you are available outside those hours if really needed.

Comp:  They do not have set class year designations here. But to give you an idea of comp, a lawyer with 4 or 5 years’ experience billing 1800 hours, would likely be at $230k with a $50k year-end bonus (and all this would be prorated for partial hours). Someone a bit more senior might be at $260k with a $55k bonus.

And again, these numbers scale down if your arrangement is for less than full time. You can still make partner even if you’re part-time, it just might take longer.

, from anywhere on the east coast (though there is a slight preference for driving distance to Boston). They do have offices in Boston if you prefer in-person work. You’d need the USPTO of course but any other state bar is OK.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a U.S. JD or LLM and U.S. work authorization (with no need for future sponsorship). Please upload your resume if qualified/interested.
