Patent Attorney
We are seeking a Patent Attorney for software, computer science, and/or electrical patents. This role involves patent preparation and prosecution, patent opinions (infringement, patentability, validity, right to use), licensing and related negotiation, patent portfolio strategy, competitive landscape assessments, and client counseling.
You will work on a team of talented professionals (analysts/advisors, engineers, patent agents, patent attorneys) pertaining to all aspects of patent portfolio development. Ideally, you will have an interest in continuing to do patent procurement work while also being involved in leveraging intellectual property assets.
We are looking for individuals with a unique blend of technology, legal, and business acumen who are passionate about protecting and leveraging the value of technology employed in the marketplace.
Requirements:
Minimum B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or Computer Science, and applied engineering experience relating to computer systems and engineering
J.D., state bar, USPTO license, employment stability
Absolute minimum of 2 years solid claim drafting and prosecution experience required. Prior engineering experience would be valued.
Of particular interest would be expertise relating to enterprise web and mobile security solutions, real-time threat prevention and related code analysis, firewall systems, WiFi, and telecommunications technologies.
