Job Description
- Counsel clients on patent and intellectual property matters across a range of technologies and industries.
- Manage patent prosecution, counseling, licensing, enforcement, and related IP matters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to expand your practice.
- Leverage your portable book of business and business development skills to grow long-term client relationships.
- Assist with complex patent and IP disputes, litigation, administrative proceedings, and other contentious matters as appropriate.
- Advise clients on intellectual property strategy, licensing, assignments, transactions, and business initiatives.
- Collaborate with attorneys and professionals on sophisticated domestic and international IP matters.
- Stay current on developments in patent law, USPTO practice, emerging technologies, and intellectual property trends.
- Represent the firm professionally in client meetings, industry events, professional organizations, and business development activities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of patent or intellectual property attorney experience.
- Engineering degree or strong technical background.
- Active USPTO Patent Bar license/registration.
- $100,000+ portable book of business.
- Strong client relationship management and business development skills.
- Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a sophisticated legal team.
