We’re looking for candidates who bring a strong technical foundation, preferably in electrical engineering or computer science, and are ready to contribute their skills towards significant legal victories. Salary: $ – $ per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret patent claims and technical documents to prepare legal arguments. Prepare legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs in complex litigation cases. Engage directly in trial preparation and courtroom activities under the guidance of senior attorneys. Coordinate with technical experts to align litigation strategy with technical insights. Conduct pre-trial depositions and examinations of witnesses. Perform legal research and remain current with developments in intellectual property law.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admission to a State Bar and eligibility to practice law. Strong academic credentials, particularly in law school performance. Excellent oral and written
communication skills
. Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field. Capability to work collaboratively in a
team-oriented
environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in patent and IP litigation. Experience in federal court or before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Additional technical or science degrees. Experience handling multiple complex cases simultaneously. Familiarity with software and emerging technologies.
Skills:
Analytical and logical reasoning abilities. Strong litigation and negotiation skills. Ability to translate technical language for legal use. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Proactive approach to
problem-solving
and decision-making.
