SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established and highly respected Long Island law firm, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Partner to join its growing Real Estate practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior attorney with deep expertise in commercial real estate transactions and real estate finance to join a collaborative, full-service platform with strong infrastructure and business development support. The ideal candidate will bring a portable book of business (preferably $500K+) and a proven ability to manage and grow client relationships while handling sophisticated real estate transactions.
RESPONSIBILTIES :
– Advise clients on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing
– Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial real estate agreements and contracts
– Conduct and oversee due diligence, including review of title, surveys, mortgages, deeds, and corporate documents
– Manage transactions from initial structuring through closing
– Develop and expand a personal book of business using firm resources and platform support
– Maintain and strengthen long-term client relationships
– Supervise and mentor associates and support staff
– Collaborate with other practice groups to deliver integrated client solutions
QUALIFICATIONS :
– J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
– Admission to the New York State Bar
– Minimum of 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate law
– Strong background in transactional real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing
– Demonstrated ability to handle complex real estate deals independently
– Strong business development and client origination skills
– Leadership and supervisory experience
– Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
REQUIREMENTS :
– Portable book of business strongly preferred ($500K+)
– Proven track record of client development and origination
– Experience working in or with sophisticated corporate and real estate clients
– Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented law firm environment
