Forward Global is seeking a seasoned investigative professional to join its team in New York City. Forward Global is an international risk and reputation management firm with offices in Paris, DC, London, and Brussels, and Miami, as well as a forthcoming office in New York in 2025.

We are looking for a Partner with a focus on growing our litigation support and complex investigations practice, as well as expanding our highly regarded corporate intelligence and due diligence work. The Partner will work in Forward Risk, our corporate investigations, intelligence, and risk advisory practice.

Overview

The Partner will focus on business development, management of high-stakes matters, and mentoring team members, while also contributing strategic guidance to grow the investigations team and build Forward Global’s brand in the U.S. The Partner will play a key role in building out the team and establishing the company’s presence in the local markets.

Main Responsibilities

Business Development

Raise Forward’s profile and expand its client base, particularly among law firms, as well as with financial institutions and private equity firms.

Represent Forward at major conferences, including as a panelist demonstrating subject matter expert knowledge (e.g. related to complex disputes).

Proactively cross-sell Forward service offerings (including illicit trade, political risk, government relations, crisis and reputation management, strategic communications and cybersecurity services) into U.S. markets.

Meet or exceed aggressive sales target, both as a sole contributor and as part of a team.

Client Management

Establish durable relationships with clients and ensure client satisfaction.

Negotiate proposals and contracts.

Case and People Management

Manage certain complex, high-stakes investigations and mentor and train investigators with shared areas of focus or interest.

Play a key role in working with public affairs colleagues and existing investigative staff to build out offices and teams in preparation for medium-term growth in those markets.

Contribute subject matter expertise and thought leadership to Forward’s work product and services.

Strategy and Analysis

Participate in leadership meetings and offer insight and analysis that supports strategic decision-making.

Provide expert-level advice on protecting and growing profitable revenue streams.

Required profile

At least 15 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years of experience in the corporate investigations industry as a practitioner conducting itigation support or complex due diligence

Proven network of relationships with law firms, general counsels and litigation funders, as well as other industry clients (e.g. hedge funds, financial institutions)

Superior case management skills and experience – and interest – in training team members to be case managers and execute complex matters

Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and growing client relationships

Self-starter with ability to operate effectively by leveraging relationships and without major business development infrastructure

Professional demeanor and strong written and oral communication skills

Commitment to exemplary client service delivery

Experience working in an international environment

Willingness to travel on a regular basis to other Forward offices, as well as to client and business development meetings as needed

Strong people management skills to attract and retain top talent
