Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior/Trial Attorney to join our team on a part-time basis (10-15 hours per week). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury litigation and be adept at managing cases from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Oversee and manage personal injury cases, ensuring timely progression and resolution.
File Review: Conduct thorough reviews of case files to assess strengths, weaknesses, and develop strategic plans.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with litigation paralegals and support staff to ensure cohesive case management.
Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, gather information, and offer legal guidance.
Court Representation: Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
Legal Research and Writing: Perform legal research and draft necessary motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Qualifications:
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensure: Active license to practice law in the State of New York.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation; trial experience is highly preferred.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
