We are seeking a per diem, part-time Probate Paralegal to support our Trusts and Estates practice group. The Probate Paralegal will boost attorney efficiency by managing information and aiding in the delivery of legal services, including client interactions. This position demands a proactive attitude to ensure tasks are completed on time, exceptional organizational skills, and keen attention to detail. The Paralegal will be expected to track and record their own billable time. Candidates must have at least three years of probate litigation experience and be well-versed in New York and New Jersey probate procedures.
Duties And Responsibilities

Provide legal support to attorneys.
Handle Trust and Probate Administration.
Prepare Probate Pleadings, along with other legal documents.
Marshal inventory and distribution of assets.
Record documents and deeds with New York/New Jersey courts, E-Filing.
Proofread all documents and correspondence for accuracy.
Enter time and print reports as requested.
Maintaining client’s files including preparing documents for signings.
Communicate daily with clients in a professional manner.
Maintain confidentiality of client information.
Other duties as assigned.
As this is a part-time position requiring 20 hours or less per week, benefits are not included. The expected hourly rate for this position is between $30.00 and $50.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
