A long-established and well-regarded law firm in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a Part-Time Legal Secretary / Legal Typist to support their busy Residential Conveyancing department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a typing-heavy workload, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of a friendly, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities High-volume audio typing and copy typing Preparing, formatting, and amending legal documents Managing confidential client information Supporting fee-earners with day-to-day secretarial tasks Handling multiple priorities within a busy conveyancing team Working Pattern 3 or 4 days per week (Monday–Friday) 9:00am–5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break Salary & Benefits Flexible salary depending on experience Holiday allowance Pension scheme Eye test vouchers Training and ongoing support
Career development opportunities Friendly, outgoing team environment About You Ideally 2 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Typist Conveyancing experience preferred but not essential Strong typing accuracy and excellent attention to detail Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
