Duties
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.
- Assist with legal document preparation, review, proofreading, and editing to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
- Manage case files using document management systems like Clio; perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems.
- Support project management activities by coordinating deadlines, tracking matter progress, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing, and to ensure efficient office operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a legal administrative role or as a paralegal is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with legal case management software like Clio is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; keen attention to detail for proofreading and legal drafting tasks.
- Strong clerical skills including data entry, filing systems management, document review, and proofreading.
- Proficiency in using document management systems and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information with professionalism.
- Positive attitude combined with excellent phone etiquette; capable of providing outstanding executive administrative support when needed.
