Key Responsibilities Lead Litigation on Personal Injury Cases
Manage complex cases from filing through verdict or settlement
Draft and argue discovery motions, MSJs, MILs, and post-trial motions
Serve as first-chair for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony; conduct expert witness examinations
Trial Strategy & Execution
Develop compelling case theories and courtroom presentations
Handle voir dire, opening statements, cross-examinations, and closings
Coordinate litigation timelines and resources for efficiency and impact
Collaborate with jury consultants, investigators, and trial technicians as needed
Client Engagement
Build trusted relationships with clients; provide timely updates and legal guidance
Accurately assess case value and negotiate settlements
Represent clients with empathy, urgency, and excellence
Team Collaboration & Mentorship
Supervise and coach junior attorneys and legal staff
Review and refine work product; conduct regular case audits
Help develop trial readiness programs and training sessions
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Member in good standing with the California State Bar
Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience, with a strong background in personal injury
First-chair trial experience (jury trial strongly preferred)
Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to lead multiple cases while mentoring team members
Passion for helping plaintiffs and a strong sense of justice
