Overview
The law firm of Kondori & Moorad, LLP is looking to add a law clerk or paralegal to their growing firm, particularly candidates that have experience in fiduciary matters related to guardianships and conservatorships, as well as estate planning, trusts, and probate administration.
Responsibilities
Initiating intake measures with appropriate clients or third parties, either telephonically, electronically, or in-person;
Collaborating and serving as a liaison between the Firm and various hospitals, care managers, social services representatives, and long-term care facilities to ensure appropriate financial management of wards;
Performing research on relevant and appropriate legal and financial documents in a timely manner;
Drafting and/or reviewing various legal, financial and/or administrative documentation related to matters in the field of estate planning, elder law (guardianship, conservatorship, guardian ad litem), trusts and/or probate administration, such as drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney; configuring inventories, accountings, and potential tax-related matters; as well as preparing appropriate billing, invoices, and receipts to/from clients and third parties.
Filing appropriate documentation with the Courts of legal jurisdiction, the Commissioner of Accounts, governmental agencies and municipalities, and/or financial institutions; and
Managing and conducting follow-up communication with current or previous clientele of the Firm.
