Insurance Defense Litigation
Our busy and growing insurance defense law firm is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Paralegal Assistant to support our litigation paralegals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a law firm, preferably in insurance defense or personal injury litigation, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This position plays an important role in helping our paralegals manage active litigation files from inception through trial. We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Assist litigation paralegals with the day-to-day management of active case files.
- Review pharmacy records to identify providers and prepare subpoenas for records.
- Prepare and track subpoenas for medical, pharmacy, employment, and other records.
- Conduct background investigations and public records searches.
- Perform court docket searches and obtain court documents as needed.
- Enter paralegal time into CaseFox accurately and timely.
- Assist with document management and case organization.
- Perform additional administrative and litigation support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a law firm is preferred.
- Experience in insurance defense or personal injury litigation is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience with case management software, including Clio and/or CaseFox, is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
